What signals are and are not. Composite signals are a quantitative summary of short-term price behaviour relative to your cost basis. They are not analyst ratings, fundamental opinions, or investment advice. They do not incorporate news, earnings, sector rotation, or macro conditions.

Inputs used. Two real data inputs drive every signal: (1) your unrealised gain/loss percentage since purchase, which proxies medium-term trend, and (2) today's price change percentage, which proxies short-term momentum. A small random component (+/-0.225) is added to prevent false precision and reflect model uncertainty.

Derived indicators. RSI, MACD, and MA cross shown in the table are estimated proxies, not values fetched from a technical indicator feed. RSI is estimated from momentum and trend. MACD is estimated from momentum. MA50/MA200 cross direction is inferred from trend slope, not computed from actual moving average history.

Conviction % explained. Conviction is not a probability of profit. It is a scaled function of how far the composite score deviates from zero: higher absolute score means higher conviction that the signal direction is correct. It ranges 50-90% by design.

Target and stop prices. The price target is set at current price x (1 + |score| x 0.12 + 0.04). The stop is your trailing stop percentage applied to current price. Risk/reward is target upside divided by stop downside.
